There’s something special about supporting an event that feels like a true part of your own neighbourhood.
For Bay Media, Bermondsey Street Festival is exactly that. With our office right on Bermondsey Street, we’re proud to have supported this much-loved community celebration for the past two years, providing the festival’s street banners at a reduced rate and helping bring the event to life across SE1.
From 2025 to 2026
Our partnership began in 2025, when we supplied seven banners around the local area to help build excitement for the festival. What started as a local get-together has grown into one of the area’s much-loved annual celebrations, bringing together local businesses, makers, musicians, families and visitors for a fun-packed day.
This year marked a particularly special milestone: 20 years of Bermondsey Street Festival.
Last Saturday (19th September), Bermondsey came alive once again, with music and food at Tanner Street Park, family activities and the much-loved Dog Show at Leathermarket Gardens, street food at Tyers Gate and makers, traders and local businesses lining Bermondsey Street.
To help promote the 2026 celebration, we once again supplied our lamppost banners, this time across Bermondsey Street, Tooley Street and St Thomas Street. Three new locations around London Bridge Station and closer to Borough Market helped extend the festival’s visibility and welcome even more people into the celebration.
For our Sales Direct, Lizzie Marsh, who managed the project, supporting the festival is about much more than putting banners up around the local area.

We know how much work goes on behind the scenes to bring an event like this together, and it’s brilliant to see the whole area come alive on the day. Supporting our local community
Bermondsey Street Festival is a free, volunteer-run celebration, made possible through the commitment of local organisers, volunteers, businesses and sponsors. From its beginnings as a small community gathering in 2006 to its 20th anniversary in 2026, the festival has grown alongside Bermondsey while retaining the same strong sense of local spirit.
As a business based on Bermondsey Street, we see first-hand the creativity, independent businesses and community spirit that make the area so distinctive. Being able to support a festival that brings all of those things together is something we’re proud of.
And while our banners might be a small part of the bigger picture, seeing them lining the streets ahead of the festival and then watching the area buzzing with people on the day is a great reminder of what local events can achieve.
