In the summer of 2024, Bay Media collaborated with the Department of Labour and Economic Development of the City of Munich to create a vibrant atmosphere for the city’s concert season.
Building on the success of the previous collaboration during UEFA Euro 2024, our latest campaign highlighted our growing presence and expertise in the German market.
Lamppost banners decorate the streets of Munich during the concert summer of 2024
The Campaign
From 25 July to 2 September 2024, we installed 46 eye-catching street banners in Munich’s city centre, expanding on the locations from the previous campaign.
The banners celebrated the Concert Summer 2024, featuring a lineup of high-profile performances by international superstars including Adele, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, and Justin Timberlake.
Wolfgang, Bay Media’s Business Development Manager for the DACH region, commented on the campaign: “We’re thrilled to have contributed to Munich’s music summer. The banners helped raise awareness of the concerts among locals and visitors, while adding a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere to the pedestrian zone.”

Design and Impact
The campaign featured ten different banner designs, all showcasing a vibrant yellow background with hearts and a stylised guitar illustration. Individual banners welcomed fans of specific artists with messages like “Servus Adele” (a friendly greeting meaning ‘Hello, Adele’) and “Servus Taylor”, while others addressed music fans in general, in both German and English.
The banners placed throughout the city helped to:
- Raise awareness of the concert series
- Create a festive and welcoming atmosphere for visitors
- Enhance the overall experience of Munich’s “Concert Summer”
- Clearly present the performance dates for each artist

Economic Impact and City Marketing
The concert series had a significant economic impact on the city. Clemens Baumgärtner, Munich’s Head of the Department of Labour and Economic Development, estimated that Adele’s concerts alone brought over half a billion euros to the city through spending in gastronomy, hospitality, and retail.
Bay Media’s street banner campaign complemented these economic benefits by:
- Strengthening Munich’s image as a cultural capital
- Increasing the city’s attractiveness to international event organisers
- Supporting the city’s strategy to attract future high-profile events, especially in light of the upcoming renovation work at the Olympic Stadium from autumn 2025
Looking Ahead
As Bay Media continues to expand its presence in Germany and the DACH region, this successful campaign in Munich serves as proof of our ability to deliver impactful out-of-home advertising solutions tailored to local markets.
Wolfgang added: “We value the opportunity to contribute to such significant projects and look forward to developing creative solutions for cities and events in the future.”
