Client Stories – Women's Rugby World Cup 2025

After an incredible summer of sport, we’re looking back on one of our standout campaigns of the year. Although the Red Roses’ Women’s Rugby World Cup victory came in September, the excitement of their triumph, and our role in supporting it, still resonates. Chosen by World Rugby, we delivered a memorable and bold banner campaign that brought the tournament’s identity vividly to life across England. The project saw over 500 lamppost banners installed across eight host cities, helping create a cohesive and immersive experience that delighted fans, residents and visitors nationwide.

The Goal: Creating a Nationwide Tournament Atmosphere

Our aim was to bring the spirit of the tournament to life in the eight host cities (including Brighton, Bristol, Exeter, London, Manchester, Northampton, Sunderland and York). The banners needed to go beyond simple advertising to create an engaging experience, helping to build anticipation and guide fans on their journey from city centres and transport hubs to the stadiums. It was about making the World Cup feel present and unmissable across the entire country.

Our Role: A Collaborative and Fully Managed Partnership

Our role was to act as the central partner for this nationwide campaign, ensuring a smooth and consistent delivery for World Rugby.

  • Planning & Coordination: We worked closely with World Rugby and each of the eight host cities for over a year, helping to scope out the best locations and manage the complex logistics involved.
  • Nationwide Delivery: Our teams handled the entire process, from securing permits with local authorities and partners like Transport for London (TfL), to printing, installation, maintenance and final removal.
  • Flexible Solutions: The campaign required a flexible approach. We provided our classic lamppost banners as the core format, but also supplied large, illuminated 6 sheet posters in Sunderland and adapted plans to include other bespoke elements like bunting in Exeter.

A Campaign of Scale and Complexity

This was a truly national project, showcasing our ability to manage large-scale, multi-location campaigns. The work spanned the length of the country, from Sunderland to Brighton.

A key part of the project was coordinating with a wide range of partners, including eight local councils and private contractors, such as those managing the land around Twickenham Stadium for the final. By acting as a single point of contact, we simplified a complex process for the client, ensuring seamless execution across all locations.
