Australia may have lifted the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2026 trophy after defeating England at Lord’s on Sunday, but the tournament was a victory for women’s sport in every sense.
With almost 30,000 supporters filling the iconic stadium for the final, the competition captured the imagination of fans across the country and showcased just how far the women’s game has come. While England narrowly missed out on the title, we were proud to play our own part in the success of the tournament by helping transform host cities into vibrant celebrations of world class cricket.
Working alongside the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) we delivered a nationwide campaign of more than 300 banners across host cities. From Birmingham and Manchester to Bristol, Eastleigh and some of London’s most famous sporting locations, our installations helped create a welcoming atmosphere for players, fans and local communities alike.
Bringing the Excitement onto the Streets
We have delivered branding for countless high profile sporting events over the years, but this campaign felt especially significant because it celebrated one of the biggest moments in women’s sport.
Our banner installations formed one of the final stages of the ECB’s ambitious ‘Catch the Spirit’ campaign, which launched in September 2025 to build excitement ahead of the tournament. Developed after research found that almost two thirds of sports fans did not know England and Wales were hosting the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup, the campaign also sought to give women’s cricket the same profile, visibility and recognition as the men’s game.
Rather than focusing on the progress of women’s sport, the campaign placed the spotlight firmly on the excitement of elite cricket itself. Featuring international stars alongside well known supporters such as Freddie Flintoff, the campaign encouraged fans to experience the drama, intensity and entertainment of the tournament while creating a genuine sense of anticipation across the country.
Our banners became an important part of that story by ensuring the excitement extended far beyond the stadium gates and into the heart of every host city.
A Masterclass in City Dressing
The Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup banner campaign perfectly demonstrates how effective city dressing can transform public spaces. The bold royal purple colour palette instantly stood out against leafy streets and bustling city centres, while vibrant neon graphics drew the eye to the tournament dates and key messaging. Alternating banner designs kept the campaign fresh and dynamic, with one reinforcing the official tournament branding and the next boldly announcing that World Cup cricket had arrived.
Beyond its visual impact, the campaign was a masterclass in balancing event branding with commercial partnerships. Sponsor logos were seamlessly integrated into the artwork, giving partners standout visibility while keeping the creative clean, striking and unmistakably focused on the tournament.
Every installation contributed to the feeling that the country was preparing to host something truly special.
Celebrating Cricket Across the Country
London was at the heart of the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup, and we were delighted to help dress the capital for the tournament. Our teams installed 16 street banners around The Oval in Lambeth, 62 around Lord’s Cricket Ground in Westminster and a further 25 around Potters Field Park in Southwark, where they supported the free family cricket festival. Together, these installations helped create a colourful, tournament ready atmosphere across some of London’s most recognisable locations.
Our work extended far beyond the capital, helping every host city embrace the excitement of the competition. From Eastleigh and Bristol to Birmingham and Manchester, our street banner installations brought colour to city centres, iconic cricket venues and fan zones, creating a strong visual identity that connected every location while giving each destination its own unique sense of occasion. Whether welcoming supporters to the Utilita Bowl, framing the streets around the Seat Unique Stadium, enhancing the approach to Edgbaston or adding to the celebrations in Manchester’s Exchange Square, the campaign helped unite host cities under one unmistakable tournament identity.
Behind Every Banner is a Fully Managed Service
A successful city dressing campaign depends on far more than great design. It requires careful planning, experienced project management and expert installation to ensure every detail is delivered safely, efficiently and on time.
Our fully managed service covers every stage of the process. We carry out site surveys, obtain council permissions, manage certified traffic management, install banners safely at height and remove every installation once the campaign has finished.
By managing every aspect of the project from beginning to end, we make city dressing completely hassle free for organisers while ensuring every campaign achieves maximum impact.
A Proud Moment for Our Team
Reflecting on the campaign, our Sales Director, Lizzie Marsh, said:

Bringing Major Events to Life
City dressing has the power to transform ordinary streets into memorable destinations. It creates excitement before visitors even reach the venue, encourages community pride and provides colourful backdrops for photography, television coverage and social media.
The ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2026 was a perfect example of how city dressing can help define a major event. We were proud to support the ECB in creating a welcoming atmosphere that celebrated world class cricket and inspired fans across the country.
